Dear Friends in Christ,
I want to welcome you to Immaculate Conception Parish.
Since the early 1800’s there has been a Catholic presence in Easton. Immigrants who came to build and later work in the Ames’ Family forges and factories brought with them their Catholic faith and traditions. Mass was first celebrated in the dining room of the Ames Company’s boarding house dining room. Later a small chapel was built on Pond Street on land donated by the Ames family. In 1871, the current rectory and adjoining property on Main Street was purchased by the growing Catholic community. A church was built soon after. In 1902, the cornerstone for our beautiful gothic stone church was laid and the dedication took place in 1904. Our parish today numbers 1250 families.
We hope you will join us in prayer and worship and that you will find our parish a welcoming community is which to share faith with your family.
God’s Blessings to you.
